In order to là gì?

Cụm từ “In order to” thường được dùng trong câu để thể hiện mục đích của mình để nói lên mục đích của mình bổ nghĩa cho hành động trước đó. 

Nghĩa của in order to là gì?

In order to là một cấu trúc ngữ pháp có ý nghĩa chỉ mục đích cho hành động đứng trước nó. Trong tiếng Việt có nghĩa: để, để mà.

Sau in order to chúng ta chia động từ ở dạng nguyên mẫu (bare infinitive).

In order to synonym

Để chỉ mục đích, ngoài so as to, chúng ta có thể sử dụng các cụm từ hoặc câu trúc khác như: so as to, to hoặc so that.

Ví dụ: I run every morning in order to/ to/ so as to stay healthy. 

I run every morning so that I can stay healthy.

Cách sử dụng in order to là gì? 

Ta có cấu trúc của in order to như sau: Hành động + In order to + Nguyên nhân để thực hiện hành động đó 

Cấu trúc câu chứa in order to là như: S + V + In order (not) to + V

Đối với câu được chính chủ sử dụng để diễn tả mục đích của mình. 

Dịch: Tôi cố gắng ngủ sớm để có thể dậy sớm đi làm.

*Lưu ý: Cấu trúc in order to này chỉ được sử dụng khi chủ từ của 2 vế giống nhau. 

Hoặc: S + V + In order for O (someone) + (not) to + V

Để chỉ một hành động có ảnh hưởng đến những cá thể khác. 

Ví dụ: He works three shifts every day for his children to go to school. 

Dịch: Ông ấy đi làm ba ca mỗi ngày để cho con được đi học.

Sự khác biệt giữa so as to, so that và in order to là gì?

Tuy cả 3 cụm từ so as to, so that và in order to có cùng ý nghĩa, tuy nhiên, việc sử dụng các từ cụm này cũng có sự khác nhau. 

• “In order to” và “so as to” mang nghĩa trang trọng, chúng thường được sử dụng trước các động từ như know, seem, understand…
• So that không được dùng với nghĩa trang trọng và thường được rút gọn thành “so” trong các trường hợp gần gũi, đặc biệt trong văn nói. Nó cũng thường được dùng với các động từ khiếm khuyết (modal verb) như “can”.
• In order to và so as to được dùng trong trường hợp 2 mệnh đề có cùng chủ ngữ, nếu có sự thay đổi trong chủ từ, chúng ta bổ sung thêm “for + tân ngữ”. Thông thường trong trường hợp này, chúng ta có thể sử dụng so that + mệnh đề.

Ví dụ: She cooked dinner in order for her friend to enjoy. 

          She cooked dinner so that her friend can enjoy.
